Discover the Costa Blanca

ALICANTE
One of the region's top tourist destinations. In addition to its many golf courses, this city offers the tranquillity of the Mediterranean Sea and the charm of a beautiful port city. The Santa Bárbara castle, atop its walls and at the summit of Mount Benacantil, 167 metres above sea level, bears witness to the civilisations that have occupied it. There is a magnificent panoramic view of the coast and inland for several kilometres. At its foot is the city of Alicante, with its port, old town, historic El Barrio district and Explanada, a popular spot for strolling along the seafront.
At the foot of the Santa Bárbara castle and next to the Explanada promenade, we find Postiguet beach, with its fine sand and calm waters, offering an oasis of peace for lovers of the sea. On this beach you can sunbathe, let the children play in the various play areas or, of course, enjoy a swim in the warm Mediterranean waters.

BENIDORM
The Costa Blanca's main tourist destination, attracting an impressive number of national and international travellers, with an exceptional range of accommodation, restaurants and leisure activities.
The town's pride and joy is its fine sandy beaches, stretching for five kilometres.
The town is alive at all hours, in the streets and bars. Atmosphere, music, parties and shows are all there for the taking.
Numerous leisure parks: Terra Mitica, Aqua Natura, Mundomar, Aqualandia, Terra Natura...
Boat trips, visits to the island of Benidorm, strolls through the old town and its narrow streets where it's good to stop for a tapa or an ice cream, visits to the viewpoint overlooking the sea, flea market.

VILLAJOYOSA
Between Alicante and Benidorm, the capital of La Marina Baixa, Villajoyosa (the cheerful town), also known as ‘La Vila’, is a colourful town whose seafront houses make it a must-see. They gave sailors a view of the city from their boats.
More than three kilometres of beach, crystal-clear waters, several archaeological sites, including the Tower of Hercules.
Fishing port, where fish caught during the day are auctioned off.
The town's main fiestas are Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians), held every year in the last week of July to celebrate the reconquest of the Moors by sea and the fight against the Christians. These fiestas are recognised as being of international interest and are a must-see.
Villajoyosa is also home to several factories that make high-quality chocolate, which is sold internationally. Visits are organised by these establishments.

FINESTRAT
Situated in the southern part of the Sierra Cortina in a natural environment of great beauty. Just 5 minutes from this urbanisation, you have access to the ‘Trenet’ (Tram) and its network of stops and stations throughout the Costa Blanca, from Alicante to Denia.
For golf enthusiasts, there are some outstanding golf courses nearby: las Rejas Open Club Benidorm, Villaitana Golf, Sierra Cortina Pitch & Putt, Puig Campana Golf.

POLOP DE LA MARINA
A village in the hills above Benidorm with uninterrupted views over the valley, the perfect place for a peaceful, harmonious family life. Close to all amenities: nurseries and schools, international colleges, parks and gardens, sports clubs....
One of the most emblematic monuments in the town of Polop are the 221 fountains of pure mountain water that flow throughout the year. They are located in the town's main square, built in 1976. Each of these fountains features the coat of arms of various villages in the Alicante, Valencia and Castellon regions. The square is reminiscent of the Plaza de España in Seville, where the Spanish municipalities are represented with their coats of arms. It's very popular with locals and visitors alike, who fill the water cans on a daily basis. Don't forget to bring your water jug with you on your visit.
Other monuments of tourist interest to visit: the church of San Pedro, the Sanctuary of the Divina Aurora, the medieval wall from the highest point of the town where you can see its remains and, adjoining it, Polop Castle, a fortress of Muslim origin built in the early 12th century, declared a Site of Cultural Interest from where you can enjoy one of the most fascinating views of the valley.
The town's festivities take place at the beginning of October and pay tribute to Saint Francis of Assisi.

ALTEA
Situated on a hill from which stands out the bell tower of the parish church, dedicated to the Virgin of Consuelo.
The square in front of the church offers views of the entire region.
The church is surrounded by narrow cobbled streets, staircases, watchtowers, roundabouts and white houses, which were once surrounded by solid ramparts. Altea is full of artists' studios and craft shops. In the lower part of the town, you'll find the King Jaime I shopping street, the fishermen's quarter and the harbour, where fishing is a major activity, as well as the seafront and six kilometres of coastline made up of pebble beaches, coves and cliffs.
Altea has two outstanding festivals: the Castell de L'Olla fireworks display in August, and the Moors and Christians festival at the end of September.
It has more than 6 km of coastline, alternating between cliffs and small coves.

SANTA POLA
The municipality of Santa Pola is bordered by two natural areas: to the west, the ‘Salinas de Santa Pola’ nature park, and to the east, the ‘Sierra y el Cabo de Santa Pola’.
Santa Pola's main attractions are its beaches, port and important historical remains.
Its 13 km of coastline offers a wide variety of beaches: to the east, small coves with fine sand and crystal-clear waters; to the west, wide shallow beaches ideal for children; and to the cape, wild coves with few visitors.
Heading south towards Guardamar del Segura, we find a thin strip of sand containing the unspoilt beaches of El Pinet and La Gola, which can only be reached on foot.
The urban beaches, such as Playa Tamarit, Playa Lisa, Gran Playa, Playa Levante, Calas Santiago Bernabeu and Playa Varadero, are sandy and have all the services (lifeguards, disabled access, showers, toilets, etc.) and facilities (beach bars, hammock and parasol hire, etc.). Many also offer water sports facilities for windsurfing and ice skating.

EL CAMPELLO
Beautiful sandy beaches, small coves... superb scenery, as well as walking and cycling routes in the surrounding mountains.
The port is divided into two distinct areas: the marina, where the ‘Club Nautico Campello’ is located, with over 400 moorings, and the fishing port next door, with around 30 moorings. From Monday to Friday, the fish market is the venue for the auction and sale of fresh fish. The spectacle of haggling is so picturesque that it attracts a multitude of curious onlookers as well as buyers.
El Campello has a long coastline full of beaches and coves of all kinds, from small rocky coves such as Coveta Fumà, sandy coves such as Cala Venta and La Nuza, to long golden sandy beaches such as Carrerlamar, next to the fishermen's quarter and Muchavista.
Muchavista beach, with over 3 km of fine, clear sand, is surrounded by high mountains and has a promenade that joins San Juan beach in Alicante without any geographical division.
A few kilometres inland are the caves of Canalobre, of great speleological interest.
