The Puig Campana golf course in Finestrat-Villajoyosa is a very pleasant course of around 6,193 metres where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the pretty village of Finestrat clinging between the surrounding mountains and crowned by Puig Campana to the west, as well as the sea and coastline bordering Villajoyosa and Benidorm as you go down the holes.
It has a new Club House, recently inaugurated. Modern, elegant facilities include a restaurant, Pro-Shop, cafeteria, changing rooms, etc.
For golf enthusiasts, there are some outstanding courses nearby: Las Rejas Open Club Benidorm, Villaitana Golf, Serra Cortina Pitch & Putt, Puig Campana Golf. The excellent facilities, among the best in Europe, make the Costa Blanca one of the leading international centres for golf, with 24 courses (including 4 Pitch & Putt) set in a typically Mediterranean landscape. They offer variety and quality and have been designed by the most prestigious designers and golf champions such as Ballesteros, Olazabal and Jack Nicklaus. Each of them, with different characteristics, meets the objectives of the most demanding players.
Finestrat has been home to many cultures throughout its history. Its proximity to the coast and its communication routes have made it a centre of attraction.
All the ancient civilisations have left their mark on this seaside village. The legacy of their ancestors can be seen at every turn, in every corner, in every street and in every house.
A stroll through the old town reveals narrow streets dating back to the Moorish period, as well as magical places and enigmatic corners, and you'll realise that the combination of sea and mountains blends perfectly in this small town of just 6,000 inhabitants.
Discover Finestrat Castle. In the highest part of the village stands the so-called Castell, a fortified building from the Almohad period that appears in numerous documents dating from the 13th century, and which was conquered by James I. There are currently no buildings that can be linked to the Islamic castle, as it has undergone several transformations over the centuries. However, the remains of the castle remain underground, and what has been preserved is the visibility of the defensive enclave: a vantage point from which you can see the coastline as far as the city of Alicante.
On its southern slope, discover the Cala de Finestrat beach, a small, charming beach of fine sand. The calm, warm Mediterranean waters that bathe the beach attract tourists all year round. It is a highly urbanised area, with tall blocks of houses and flats but virtually no hotels. In recent years, the area of La Cala de Finestrat has become increasingly inhabited by people who work in Benidorm, and by tourists who come to the area for longer stays.
The beach has been a Blue Flag beach since 1987, a testament to the excellent quality and cleanliness of its waters.
In addition, users benefit from a wide range of services in this cove, including a lifeguard service, a tourist information point, daily cleaning, a children's play area and a wide range of sports and leisure activities in summer. A wide range of sports are available, including beach volleyball.
In addition to the services and leisure facilities on offer at Cala de Finestrat, there is also an excellent shopping and dining area on the beach, offering magnificent views to tourists while they shop or sample the wonderful seafood cuisine.
Finestrat is a town with a promising future. Its economy is growing, its natural environment is respected and admired, and its special charm continues to win over the tourists who visit year after year.

Benidorm is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the whole of the Mediterranean, as it is a place where many records have been broken. What began as a small fishing village in 1950 has, in just ten years, become an impressive tourist metropolis and leisure centre. It has the most skyscrapers per capita in the world. It has a powerful infrastructure and a wide range of services to welcome millions of tourists all year round.
Benidorm's two main beaches are Levante and Poniente, separated by a large rock on which stands the ‘balcony of the Mediterranean’, with its white stone balustrade and viewpoint.
These are very wide, clean beaches of fine sand, awarded the EU Blue Flag every year.
Between the two beaches is the Cala Mal Pas cove.
Opposite the beach is the island of Benidorm, where there is an important marine reserve with excellent seabeds for diving enthusiasts. Boat trips are available from Benidorm and some neighbouring beaches.
Numerous leisure parks: Terra Mitica, Aqua Natura, Mundomar, Aqualandia, Terra Natura...
In 2019, Benidorm was the fourth national destination with the highest number of tourist overnight stays (16.2 million), placing it behind Madrid (22.6 million), Barcelona (22.1 million) and San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Canary Islands (17.1 million).
If you like sport, hiking or climbing, the Sierra Cortina, Villaitana and Puig Campana will welcome you in an incomparable natural setting.
Situated in the southern part of the Sierra Cortina in a natural environment of great beauty. Just 5 minutes from this urbanisation, you will have access to the ‘Trenet’ (Tram) and its network of stops and stations throughout the Costa Blanca, from Alicante to Denia.
