This region is blessed with a unique microclimate that allows you to enjoy the sun all year round.

Finestrat is located in the southern part of the Sierra Cortina, in a natural environment of great beauty. Just 5 minutes from all amenities, you also have access to the ‘Trenet’ (Tramway) and its network of stops and stations all along the Costa Blanca, from Alicante to Denia.

Finestrat means ‘window to the sea’ and is built on a rock made of plaster, with streets in the village dedicated to plasterers.

The mythical mountain of Puig Campana is the symbol of Finestrat. It is the second highest in the province of Alicante after Aitana. At 1,406 metres, it can be seen from almost every town in the region, and is distinguished by its ‘hole’.
Wherever you are, you'll always find an ‘official’ viewpoint or an improvised one among the plants. It's the ideal place to enjoy nature in its purest form. Hikers, adventurers and mountaineers have the pleasure of exploring the mountain and contemplating the beauty of Puig Campana in all its splendour.

This is precisely the hole that leads us to the legend of Cerivert the Giant, who was in love and lived with a young girl in a hut. One day, a stranger warned him that when the sun stopped shining, his beloved would die. He returned to the hut and found that his beloved was dying. So he decided to go and kick a hole in the mountain (the piece that was missing from the mountain) so that the sun would continue to shine for a few more minutes. The piece broke off and is said to be the islet of Benidorm. When she died, he buried her there and stayed with her forever, holding her in his arms.

Finestrat makes great efforts to preserve its privileged environment, not least because Puig Campana is home to an interesting diversity of native plants, many of which are rare and virtually impossible to find in other parts of the world. As for the fauna, a majestic eagle, currently in danger of extinction, has made Puig Campana its domain, although it is shared with falcons, eagle owls, foxes, jinns, wild boars, partridges and rabbits, among other animal species that enrich the area.

The Finestrat beach is known as La Cala, and is practically an extension of the Benidorm coastline. It is a highly urbanised area, with tall blocks of houses and flats but virtually no hotels. In recent years, the area of La Cala de Finestrat has become increasingly inhabited by people who work in Benidorm, and by tourists who come to the region for longer stays.

For sports enthusiasts, there are some excellent golf courses nearby: Las Rejas Open Club Benidorm, Villaitana Golf, Sierra Cortina Pitch & Putt, Puig Campana Golf. Excellent facilities, among the best in Europe, make the Costa Blanca one of the leading international centres for golf, with 24 courses (including 4 Pitch & Putt) set in a typically Mediterranean landscape. They offer variety and quality and have been designed by the most prestigious designers and golf champions such as Ballesteros, Olazabal and Jack Nicklaus. Each of them, with different characteristics, meets the objectives of the most demanding players.

Finestrat also boasts a shopping boulevard, with the La Marina shopping centre, Carrefour, Conforama, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon... Whatever you need, you'll find it in Finestrat.

The Costa Blanca is over 200 kilometres of coastline in the province of Alicante, with long sandy beaches, small coves and an average annual temperature of 20ºC. More than 300 days of sunshine make this coast a unique place for its quality of life and a tourist area where many Spanish and European residents have made their home.

It also boasts an incredible historical and cultural heritage, with picturesque villages, cliffs and mountains, and a wide choice of leisure activities. Not to mention its renowned gastronomy, where local produce and expertise abound. Paella, rice, fish, cold meats, turrons.... Not to mention vineyards, citrus fruits and vegetables.

There's no doubt that the Costa Blanca has everything you need to make it your new home, where you can enjoy the Mediterranean climate and all its advantages.

ALICANTE
One of the region's top tourist destinations. In addition to its many golf courses, this city offers the tranquillity of the Mediterranean Sea and the charm of a beautiful port city. The Santa Bárbara castle, atop its walls and at the summit of Mount Benacantil, 167 metres above sea level, bears witness to the civilisations that have occupied it. There is a magnificent panoramic view of the coast and inland for several kilometres. At its foot is the city of Alicante, with its port, old town, historic El Barrio district and Explanada, a popular spot for strolling along the seafront.
At the foot of the Santa Bárbara castle and next to the Explanada promenade, we find Postiguet beach, with its fine sand and calm waters, offering an oasis of peace for lovers of the sea. On this beach you can sunbathe, let the children play in the various play areas or, of course, enjoy a swim in the warm Mediterranean waters.

VILLAJOYOSA
Between Alicante and Benidorm, the capital of La Marina Baixa, Villajoyosa (the cheerful town), also known as ‘La Vila’, is a colourful town whose seafront houses make it a must-see. They gave sailors a view of the city from their boats.
More than three kilometres of beach, crystal-clear waters, several archaeological sites, including the Tower of Hercules.
Fishing port, where fish caught during the day are auctioned off.
The town's main fiestas are Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians), held every year in the last week of July to celebrate the reconquest of the Moors by sea and the fight against the Christians. These fiestas are recognised as being of international interest and are a must-see.
Villajoyosa is also home to several factories that make high-quality chocolate, which is sold internationally. Visits are organised by these establishments.
